Thinking of leaving Vancouver – Maybe give Comox & Courtney a try?

Comox BeachAre you thinking of leaving the high prices of Vancouver for a new lifestyle? Many others have. I keep finding out that old acquaintances have left Vancouver for greener pastures in their retirement wind-down years. Comox and Courtney are beautiful locations. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting their beautiful clean sandy beaches and honestly the drive from Vancouver is not that bad. It’s the ferry that adds on extra time but still do-able if you have family left in Vancouver. There are many outdoor activities to engage in and maybe a peaceful pace to living?

According to a recent article in “My Comox Valley Now” sales are down, but not necessarily prices. The average price for a single family dwelling in Campbell River in February was $458,132, down from $473,696 in January. In the Comox Valley, houses went for, on average, $609,352, a bump up from January when the average house price was $557,156. Certainly these prices are affordable if you can visualize making a new start or winding down a current career.

It’s a great article if you want the full read and it shows a small graph of house prices in the region, I invite you to take a look and remember if you are thinking of leaving Vancouver and need a good Realtor referral for Comox or Courtney just ask me and I’ll be happy to help.
